Dolphins 'n Dragons Guild: Rules

This is a private, by-invitation-only guild. All invitations must be approved by a Guild Council member before being issued. If a new member appears without approval, they will be removed from the guild. If any member issues an invitation, they will also be permanently removed from the Guild.
Members must request all Council Members and Staff as their Neofriends. Failure to request (or accept their request if they are faster) by one week after your join date is cause for suspension from the guild. No promotions or information about the website will be given until all requests have been made. You can find all the Staff for whom you need to request on the Leaders page of this Website.
Disrespect of any guild member is cause for dismissal from the guild. Please take care of problems privately, or ask Glindylmere for assistance in taking care of problems that you see come up.
Members must follow Neopets' conditions for use of their site. This includes (but isn't limited to) abstaining from foul language (or suggestive words that indicate foul language), no scamming of members for items or nps, no requests for passwords, and much more. If you have any questions, please use the link at the bottom of most Neopets pages to view their conditions.
No begging on the boards or in Neomail will be tolerated. If you are truly in need, you may request food to help your pet. If you are interested in trading you may post that on the message board. If you are looking for a particular item, you may post a general request in order to purchase or trade for it with another member.
Any member may post messages on our boards. We ask that you try to use more than a few words in any one post. We want to hear what you have to share! We discourage using the message boards to post one-liner messages one after another simply to fill up time and space. Please be considerate of the time it takes to read through all the messages on the boards and combine posts when possible.
Board posting requirements: every member MUST post at least one message per month to be considered active in the guild. If you are up for promotion, you must have posted at least once in the 30 days prior to your promotion date to receive that promotion. Additionally, you must have at least five times the number of months in the guild in total board postings to be eligible for a promotion. IE: If you are up for promotion, and have been in the guild for 6 months, you must have at least 30 posts (6 months X 5) to receive the promotion. This is to ensure that only ACTIVE members progress in the ranks, as it's not fair to others in the guild to merely sit and wait out time for a promotion. We want to hear from everyone! Let us get to know you! If there are special circumstances preventing your posting, please let Glindylmere know and it will be reviewed by Guild Council.
Dismissed members who continue to harass guild members via Neomail will be reported to Neopets as per their conditions for use of their site. Please see Rule 4. If you have any questions, please ask a Guild Council Member.
Members are expected to post at least one message per month on the message boards. For those who are going to be away on vacation, are ill, or in school, please send neomail to KhalieQ regarding an absence to forego any consequences. If a member has been absent for a period of one month without informing KhalieQ, you will receive a neomail requesting information about your absence. If no mail is received within 2 weeks of KhalieQ's mail, your account will be suspended. You will not be removed from the guild at that time. After 2 months inactivity from the time that the mail is sent, your account will be removed from the guild. No promotions or special items will be sent to your account during this time.
If you have been dismissed from the guild, you may not return for at least 3 months at which time you may reapply for membership. You may send a letter requesting you be readmitted to Aolanna. A vote of the Guild Council is required on all readmissions. Readmitted members begin their rank at LilNipper. They will not receive duplicate promotional awards from their previous time in the guild. If you have been in the Guild for less than 3 months at the time you decide to leave, you will not be allowed to rejoin unless the leaving was a genuine mistake. Be sure, when exiting the Guild area, not to select Leave Guild from the left most Neo menu, for that will take you out of the Guild!
If you have a problem with another member, please send Neomail to Aolanna. Do not post your grievances on the message board. The message will be immediately removed and you will be placed on warning. Aolanna will make every attempt to resolve the matter (with the assistance of the Guild Council as needed). Please treat every member with respect -- as you would like to be treated.
Promotional items and giveaways are limited to one account per individual. You may have ONLY one duplicate account (check Neopets conditions for use of their site) in the guild, but only one is eligible for holiday gifts, birthday gifts, and special Guild Signature Pieces. Members who attempt to "sneak" another account into the guild will have all of their accounts dismissed from the Guild and not be allowed to reenter. Family members of guild members are eligible, but please respect the hard work it takes to supply these items.
Council often sends out items to the full membership to celebrate various events. Many of these will coincide with holidays and/or birthdays of members. We cannot attempt continuously to send items to members as there are so many things going on at one time in the Guild. This is to include Signature Pieces for promotions, neggs, and gift items. Members with "full pockets" (ie have 50 items making it impossible for any items to be sent), will receive one email regarding the missed item(s). You will have one week to clear your box and reply to Glindylmere to let Council know your box is ready. If she does not receive that mail, you forfeit that item.
Please respect the hard work and long hours it took to build this site. We ask that you use this information for your own Neopets enjoyment, not to disseminate to others. Do not give anyone the password to our Game Tips and Lists site. This site has been created for the enjoyment of members of the Dolphins 'n Dragons Guild only.
